Memory Lane

There were many sweet and touching memories at the Penticton & District Hospice Society’s “Memory Lane” event Saturday June 14, 2025.

Over 50 young and older visitors paid tribute to their departed loved ones and pets at the Downtown Community Market. Visitors to the Hospice Society “Memory Lane” booth chose a favourite butterfly, wrote a name of a loved one on a tag (pets too), and hung the tag on one of the Memory Trees with assistance from our super volunteers.

Hugh, our newest volunteer was at our “Memory Lane” booth:

“There was a young child who told me about a cat they once had. It was such an honest conversation with raw emotion. I feel honoured to have been part of it. Even as a butterfly.”
